BLOGS AND BREWS
I gave myself homework. Nope, I’m not in school. I am learning, though.
I’m writing… blogging, if you will. After five years of working for a commercial printer, I took a new career path as Director of Sales and Marketing at Crux Creative – A Design Agency. One of our many services is designing and building websites. In my presentations to clients, one of the pieces I preach the most but don’t practice is the importance of blogging to improve search engine optimization. Blogging isn’t just something that I have wedged into my daily routine (as you can plainly see by my last contribution back in July of 2012). Yet, there I sit, in front of my clients preaching the importance of strong SEO by constantly updating their fledgling website. What the hell does this have to do with beer?
I haven’t the foggiest idea.
I was thinking of a great tie into the Art of Brewing vs. Social Media. The more I thought about that, the cheesier it became.
While I’m formulating my words I am accompanied by the music of Alt-J and the smooth, creamy barrel-aged goodness that is “Admiral” Stash from Milwaukee Brewing Company.
All three items (blog posts, Alt-J and a Bourbon Barrel Aged Baltic Porter) are all things that bring a person out of their norm.
I’m not a writer but I’m passionate about enough things to want to share them.
Try new music.
Try new beer.
Try anything new.
And then tell people about it.
Cheers! -MB
