Les Paul: Sound-on-Sound Exhibit
Guitar player, guitar builder and sound innovator, Waukesha, WI native son, Les Paul stunned the music industry with his New Sound in 1948. The Les Paul Experience is a Waukesha County Historical Society exhibit that tells the musical side of the Les Paul story. The museum had a vision to educate visitors on the impact Les Paul had made beyond his guitar skills with his innovative sound mixers and layering music. The WCHSM was referred to Crux Creative by a current museum client to utilize an undeveloped area within the Les Paul Experience and design a display to highlight some of Les Paul’s inventions that revolutionized the music industry
Crux Creative designed a large wall mural that provided the perfect background to highlight original Les Paul’s recording artifacts and an interactive sound mixer. The bold, colorful graphics bring this exhibit to life and blends beautifully with the exhibits that surround it.
Crux Creative was thrilled and honored to develop a museum exhibit that tells the inventor side of the Les Paul story. Being a contributor to Waukesha’s Les Paul legacy is what our dreams are made of.
