WHAT IS A VIRTUAL EXHIBIT?

The Covid-19 Pandemic has taken a toll on the trade show industry and most if not all large 2020 and some 2021 trade show venues have been cancelled with no sure end in sight.  The trade show exhibit has been an integral part of many marketing programs that provide an in-person experience to promote a company’s brand.  To help fill this promotional void, many companies have turned to virtual exhibits.  Virtual exhibits are being used more and more to connect with clients in a familiar way. Like a traditional trade show, you can share PDF’s, videos, audio, surveys, and links to other content such as your live/streaming events. You can even capture leads within the experience and direct them to your marketing automation system. You can also have live chats with potential customers. Virtual exhibits allow your clients to connect with your brand in an immersive, interactive, virtual space that allow you to engage with your attendees through a 360-degree digital experience. Attendees navigate the space to interact with your brand and content throughout the digital exhibit. You decide on the location, the purpose, and the content within the exhibit.

Hopefully, this platform will not replace the live, in-person experience. We will always yearn for that in-person, hands-on engagement. But virtual technology is a great alternative when in-person is not possible. Given the current COVID-19 restrictions, now may be a good time to consider exhibiting virtually at a show that will never get cancelled.

Here are some other benefits to digital, virtual events:

  • Cost-Effectiveness – A live, in-person event includes a wide range of expenses the exhibitor must account for. The physical exhibit, exhibit services, logistics, travel, food, and accommodations can become costly. Virtual events eliminate these costs. While generally significantly less than the live, in-person events, the costs the exhibitor still has to consider for a virtual event usually include designing the booth, implementing software, digital graphics and content, scripting and recording any video and audio content.
  • Scalability – Physical venues limit the number of people you can fit in your space. Virtual events enable you to scale and accommodate far more people for a fraction of the cost.
  • Accessibility – You can reach a larger audience because of those that may be unable to attend a specific in-person event at a given date. Users can revisit the portal to view and interact with your virtual exhibition booth with no time restrictions.
  • Precise Data – Virtual events track insightful user data from the attendee’s interaction within the virtual space. The data acquired can help you improve the location and purpose of content for future events.

Are you ready to explore exhibiting at the next virtual event in your industry? Are you ready to position your brand to develop an engaging virtual experience? Are you ready to gain a competitive advantage for what may be years to come? Let Crux Creative take you into the realm of digital virtual events.
